Mathias Görg is one of Austria’s foremost experts in the field of competition law and intellectual property law. He also frequently advises and represents companies in consumer protection and telecommunications law cases and has successfully handled numerous high-profile cases before the Supreme Court.

A prolific author, Mathias Görg has published extensively, particularly on competition law including antitrust matters. He is the author of a leading and widely cited commentary on the Act Against Unfair Competition (2020), a comprehensive and authoritative work, spanning 1,852 pages. The commentary has become a key reference for practitioners, academics and courts. Additionally, he has written two practitioners’ commentaries: one on copyright law (2023, with C. Feltl) and another on trademark law (2024).

Before joining PARAGON, Mathias Görg was a founding partner at MGLP Attorneys-at-Law. He completed his studies at the University of Vienna (Doctor of Laws) and the London School of Economics (LL.M.), where he specialized in European Union law and antitrust law.
