Bíborka Asztalos focuses her practice on international arbitration and litigation. She has represented clients and acted as tribunal secretary in cases governed by various substantive and procedural laws. In addition to ad-hoc arbitrations, her experience includes proceedings under several institutional rules, among them the ICC Rules, the Vienna Rules, and the CAS Code.
Prior to joining Paragon, she gained experience working as an associate and legal trainee at several international law firms in Vienna, at Austrian courts, as well as at the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). She also held a position in academia as research assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure, University of Vienna School of Law.
Bíborka Asztalos has authored and contributed to a number of publications relating to dispute resolution. She is a member of several international arbitration associations, served as vice-president and auditor of ELSA Vienna, and was a member of the Organizing Committee of the ELSA Summer School on Dispute Resolution.
She studied law in Austria (University of Vienna) and in the United Kingdom (University of Edinburgh). She has received several merit-based scholarships and, during her time as a professional athlete, an award of the Republic of Hungary for combining a flawless academic record with outstanding achievements in sports. Her client work is informed by the same level of commitment to and focus on high-quality results that she developed over many years as a professional athlete.
